Paul Chen – Practical Katana

Once you have a good feel for the bokken (wooden practice sword), there is no substitute for practicing with a live blade.  Throw your replicas in the recycling, and let your hands feel the weight and the grace of  this pure cutting tool.  It may not be as sharp as the historical Samurai swords (which were rumored to cut through rifles in WWI), but this will go through household items with ease.  Practice care when handling!
